What Is Viora®?
Viora® is a multi-application aesthetic platform that utilises advanced radiofrequency technologies to support skin rejuvenation and tissue remodelling.
The system enables practitioners to tailor treatments according to individual skin concerns, treatment goals and anatomical areas.
Through specialised handpieces and proprietary technologies, Viora can be used to address concerns relating to:
- Skin laxity
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin texture
- Enlarged pores
- Acne scarring
- Stretch marks
- General skin quality
Treatment suitability varies between individuals and will be determined during consultation.
What is Viora V-ST?
The Viora V Touch V-ST handpiece uses bi-polar radiofrequency energy to deliver controlled heat into the skin while helping to protect the skin surface. The treatment is designed to warm the underlying collagen and elastin network, which may support gradual tightening, firmness, and improved skin texture.
Viora’s CORE™ technology, meaning Channelling Optimised RF Energy, uses multiple RF channels to target different tissue depths. This allows treatment settings to be adjusted for different areas of the face and body, including more delicate areas where a customised approach is important.
Viora V-ST is not a replacement for facelift surgery. Treatment options may range from RF skin tightening for earlier skin changes, to Ultherapy for deeper support, through to thread lift or facelift surgery for selected patients with more noticeable tissue laxity. Your clinician can help explain which option may be more appropriate for your concerns.
If you are exploring treatment options, you may also wish to compare non-surgical skin tightening vs facelift surgery to understand which approach may be suitable to address your concerns.
There are numerous treatments for skin care and rejuvenation. All work at various depths.
The following is an indication of the treatment depth.
Please remember that devices and operator experience can play a factor in these depths and results.
How Viora V-ST works
Radiofrequency treatments work by generating controlled heat within targeted layers of the skin. This thermal effect may encourage existing collagen fibres to contract and may stimulate fibroblast activity, supporting collagen production and remodelling over time.
- Targets superficial and deeper skin layers using controlled RF energy
- Allows treatment settings to be customised for the face, neck, and selected body areas
- Supports gradual changes in firmness, skin quality, and mild laxity over a course of treatments
- Uses integrated contact cooling to support comfort and protect the skin surface
Potential benefits of Viora V-ST
Viora V-ST may be used as part of a treatment plan for patients wanting a non-surgical approach to skin tightening and skin quality support. Individual outcomes vary and depend on factors such as skin quality, age, lifestyle, treatment area, and the degree of laxity present.
- Non-surgical and non-invasive treatment approach
- Minimal to no downtime for many patients
- Gradual, natural-looking improvement in skin firmness
- Reduced appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and mild laxity
- Support for collagen production and remodelling
- Improved appearance of skin thickness, firmness, and elasticity
- Potential improvement in facial contouring and definition
- Customisable settings for deeper structures and delicate treatment areas
- May be used on areas such as the mid-face, forehead, brow area, nasolabial folds, neck, and selected body areas where appropriate
Is Viora V-ST safe?
Viora V-ST uses radiofrequency technology, a commonly used modality in aesthetic medicine. The device is listed for skin tightening of the face and body, and treatment settings are adjusted according to the area being treated, patient comfort, and clinical assessment.
During your consultation or dermal review, your clinician will assess whether Viora V-ST is suitable for your concerns and discuss expected benefits, possible risks, limitations, aftercare, and alternative treatment options. Some patients may be better suited to a different non-surgical treatment or a surgical consultation, depending on their goals and degree of skin laxity.
Who may be suitable for Viora V-ST?
Viora V-ST may be considered for individuals who:
- Notice early skin laxity around the face, neck, or selected body areas
- Are beginning to see fine lines, frown lines, smile lines, or perioral lines
- Want to support skin firmness and texture without surgery
- Are not ready for a surgical procedure
- Prefer a gradual and subtle treatment pathway
- Understand that results vary and a treatment plan may involve multiple sessions
Viora V-ST vs Ultherapy vs Thread Lift vs Facelift vs RF Skin Tightening
Viora V-ST is one of several options available for facial rejuvenation, depending on your concerns, anatomy and goals.
- RF Skin Tightening – may support gradual skin tightening and skin quality over multiple sessions
- Ultherapy – may be suitable for mild to moderate laxity and early ageing changes in a single treatment
- Thread Lift – may be considered for selected patients seeking a minimally invasive lifting option for mild to moderate tissue laxity
- Facelift Surgery – may be considered for more advanced ageing and structural changes
To explore these options further, read our guide on facelift vs non-surgical skin tightening.
What to expect during treatment
Treatment time varies depending on the area being treated and the recommended treatment plan. Most Viora V-ST appointments take approximately 30 to 90 minutes.
- Your skin will be assessed and prepared before treatment begins
- You may feel a warm or mild pinching sensation as the RF energy is delivered
- Comfort levels vary, but most patients find the treatment manageable
- There is usually minimal to no downtime after treatment
- Your clinician will provide aftercare instructions, including any activity or skincare restrictions
When will I see results?
Some patients may notice subtle changes in skin firmness within the first few weeks, particularly where existing collagen fibres respond to heat. However, collagen remodelling is gradual and continues over time.
Results may continue to develop over several months after treatment, depending on your skin quality, treatment area, treatment plan, and individual response. A course of treatments may be recommended to best support gradual skin tightening and firmness.
